Where?

Our squads are based in the Southern Tablelands of NSW.

Term 2 Training 2023

Training for 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m and XCountry events by a Level 3 Performance and Development Coach and a Level 1 Community Coach.

June:

Please note that all sessions cost $10 per athlete and could be subject to change due to weather. Advanced notice will be given wherever possible.
Starting times at Hudson Park are to ensure as much training in daylight as possible, if you arrive later, please be aware that it may affect the length of your child’s training session as we have no lighting at this facility.

Who can join?

Squad training is suited from ages 10yrs+

However, we do often have 8yrs join in if they are particularly keen and show an interest in developing their skills, technique, speed and endurance.

Our sessions cater for all levels of fitness and ability.

We are family friendly and encourage everyone to get out and active!

Sometimes the younger siblings join in for a bit of running fun!

Times may be subject to change depending on weather.

Cost?

  • 1 athlete – $10 pp

What does a typical session look like?

For the general health, safety and well being of the participants, sessions follow a general order as outlined below.

The main body of work however, will be modified to suit the requirements of the individuals involved.

  • Warm up
  • Stretching
  • Drills
  • MAIN BODY OF WORKLOAD
  • Warm down
  • Stretching

The workload component will vary between speed, strength and endurance from session to session.

Technique and running skills are addressed as needed.

Children under the age of 12 must have a supervising adult remain at the grounds.

Please wear comfortable clothes and appropriate footwear and bring a water bottle and a towel or mat for stretching on.

Online support for Squad Runners who commit to a minimum of 1 day per week is also available at a reduced rate.

Those Squad members who attend 2 sessions a week have free online access.
