Code Of Conduct

Athlete Code of Conduct and expectations:

At LimbActive Squad Training we encourage a positive and welcoming atmosphere for athletes of all ages and abilities.

Athletes are expected to:

  1. Arrive on time with everything they need for a session (including appropriate clothing, footwear, water, foam rollers, sun or rain protection). This is to ensure the smooth flow of the session.
  2. Approach training with a positive attitude and a willingness to participate.
  3. Be kind, positive and treat other Athletes/Coaches with respect.
  4. Understand that we may be sharing the training space with other groups and be courteous in doing so (especially lane allocation etc).
  5. Be honest if they are feeling unwell or have been injured and advise your Coach as soon as possible.
  6. Ask questions and seek assistance if needed.
  7. Advise your Coach if you plan on attending any competitions so they can adjust your training loads accordingly.
  8. Training Material including individualised programs are the property of LimbActive Australia and misuse of them to third parties without permission will not be tolerated and may result in further action against those involved.

If you are looking to join one of our Squads, but are currently training under another Coach, please speak to us about the correct protocol for approaching such a change.

At LimbActive Australia, we do not poach athletes from other Coaches or Squads. Whilst there are times that athletes and Coaches may feel the need to move on, there are ways to approach this transition that are respectful to all parties.

If you are seeking to leave one of our Squads and find another Coach, we ask that you show respect to our Coaches and do so in an appropriate manner. This includes speaking to Coaches directly and not in front other Squad members.

At LimbActive we work hard at providing a safe, friendly and unified spirit amongst all our Squad Members.

Any breach of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action.

Disciplinary action may include speaking to Athletes involved and their parents/guardians about the issue.

Temporary suspension or permanent expulsion may also be considered depending on the seriousness of the incident.

Parental Expectations:

We would like to encourage all our Squad Parents to support and encourage your children to participate to the best of their ability.

Understand that growth and development of athletes differs one from another, and that there is a progression that we follow to build upon from season to season.

Celebrate the improvements no matter how small and encourage young people to persist through the more challenging times. Developing a strong mind and body and a character of excellence.

Encourage your child to set realistic, yet challenging short, mid and long term goals and work alongside your Coach to help them work towards them.

Focus on developing a positive mindset yourself and fostering that within your child. We can provide plenty of resources to assist with this where needed.

Comparison is the thief of joy and so do not compare your child’s developments as an athletes to anyone else. Enjoy the journey you are all on together.

Encourage other Squad athletes – we work hard together as a team and are much like a family. We enjoy celebrating the growth and development of all our athletes.

Keep the lines of communication open with your child’s Coach and don’t hesitate to reach out if your child is unwell, injured or needing extra support. We are here to help.
